 Bungie is rumored to reveal a big secret about an upcoming title during the first days events at E3 2008, as told in a lengthy installment of the Bungie podcast
Bungie, as the legendary creators of one of the best video games in history, has alot on it's back when it comes to new releases. Expectations are high when it comes to new maps, and hungry gamers demand more out of a game with time.
With a split from Microsoft following the release of the third installment of the Halo series, Bungie now has almost no limits to its power and reach. Because of the massive undertaking that is required to develope a great game like Halo, Bungie has alot more resources than it had before Halo: Combat Evolved. They said that want to explore new titles, however as part of the deal with microsoft after the split, all Halo titles go to Microsoft Game Studios.
On Bungie Day, last monday 7/7/08, along with releasing a free Halo 3 Map entitled Cold Storage which is about an abandoned research facility, and is for release over Xbox Live, they also updated their Podcast with surprising information, not so much officially stating anything but hinting about a event going on July 14, which is the 1st day of E3 2008.
According to Bungie Manager Harold Ryan, "We're actively engaged with the senior staff here on a couple of new IPs right now, but the team that can generate cool Halo games is still running full-speed as well," in an interview with Develop magazine. If Bungie is to create a new video game, be sure that they won't forget good-old Halo.
